Ladakh In Style

  • Grand Dragon Hotel Leh (map)

Ladakh, a land of superlatives!

Just to get there you'll fly over the highest and largest mountain range in the World - the Himalayas.  Once in Leh you'll witness one of the World's most hospitable and unique cultures, remnants of a Buddhist Kingdom with Tibetan origin, which currently remains virtually untouched by the outside world.  Ladakh is more Tibetan than Tibet!

You'll be surrounded by the most stupendous mountains, they'll take your breathe away.  We'll visit monasteries that seem as old as time itself, and peek into the lives of monks as they recite prayers.

We'll cross the World's two highest motor-able passes and travel through the gorgeous Valley of the Flowers in Nubra during Spring.  Giant cold weather desert sand dunes will greet us as we explore this ancient region.

We'll glamp on the edge of a high-altitude saline lake, left over from time immemorial when there was a sea between India and China and the Indian plate smashed into the Eurasian plate and created the Himalayas.  It left in its wake a salt lake that forms part of the border between India and China.

Our accommodation in Leh is the most luxurious the city has to offer and is guaranteed to leave you impressed, whether it be the quality of the food or the stunning mountain surrounds from the gardens and restaurant deck.  Furthermore, we will have the expert knowledge of a local guide with us at all times while on the road and a competent and experienced driver.

This is not a tour to be missed!
